Weighted Lap Bag XL 3kg

 

Weighted lap bags are a very practical way to provide children with calming deep pressure sensory input in the classroom environment. They can be used to help children maintain their concentration during mat time as well as at the desk for written work. These lap bags are filled with poly pellets and are made in cordoroy with segregated sections to ensure even weight distribution. Poly pellet lap bags can be washed in the washing machine. Available in 1.5kg and 2.5kg and now XL 3kg weights. As a general guideline we tend to advise 1.5kg for 3- 6 years and 2.5kg for over 6 years, however it really depends on the sensory processing needs of the child. If your child is actively seeking deep pressure sensory input (as opposed to just being calmed by applying deep pressure input), then we recommend the heavier weight. As a general guideline the weight should be 5-10% of the child's body weight.

The XL weighted lap bags are bigger generally. They measure 65cm x 45cm so they spread the weight further.
