Danielle Hutton, Speech Pathologist
A summary of Danielle's qualifications and experience:
Danielle completed a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at Flinders University in South Australia. Being an exceptional student she was quickly snapped up by Relate Therapy Services in Adelaide where she worked with children of all ages presenting with a range of physical and intellectual disabilities, as well as ASD, sensory processing difficulties and developmental delays. She also has specific experience in managing cleft palate issues, stuttering and speech fluency and in-school therapy programmes.
Danielle's special interests and passions:
Danielle has developed skills to assist families with a broad range of speech and language related concerns. She has a strong focus on family-centred therapy. She has extensive experience in using AAC (eg Proloquo2go and Chat Now Boards) and has had lots of involvement with the Aphasia Computer Club in Adelaide.
Reason for loving what you do:
When we asked Danielle why she enjoyed her role she said, "I have a passion for providing innovative and personalised evidence-based practice in a collaborative environment, especially to ensure families, care providers and educational staff are empowered to support children in naturalistic environmental contexts outside of therapy."
