January School Holiday Programmes 2019

Skillbuilders will be offering five different group programmes over the January School Holidays in 2019. 

Groups include:


Move Write 2 Learn:

for children aged Kindy to Year 2 (2 hour groups)

Engine Speed and Self Regulation:

for children aged Preprimary to Year 4 (2 hour groups)

Phonemic Awareness:

for children aged Preprimary to Year 3 (1 hour group)

Kindy and Preprimary School Readiness:

K and PP (1 hour group)

Social Skills, based on the Highway Heroes Programme:

lower and upper primary groups (1 hour group)



These groups will be run by experienced Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists. The maximum number of children per group will be 4, with two staff leading the groups.  

Details regarding these groups and dates that they will be running are outlined below:

BLOCK 1: Tuesday 15th to 18th January 2019

BLOCK 2: Tuesday 22nd to 25th January 2019

BLOCK 3: Tuesday 29th to 1st February 2019

  • Early detection of communication problems is essential to each child’s development, well-being and self-esteem. Children who experience a delay in onset of talking often have difficult to detect middle ear problems, causing hearing loss. They frequently go on to have literacy problems if the underlying language difficulties are not remedied.

    If you have a child who has trouble speaking at a developmental level that is right for their age, we can help them develop speech that is clear and understandable.
