Skillbuilders will be running a range of small group therapy programmes in Term 4, 2018

Write2Learn Groups

for children in Years PP to Yr 2. These groups are designed to boost children's organisational skills, fine motor skills and handwriting. 

Engine Speed Groups for children who have trouble paying attention at school. These groups are offered for children aged 4 years plus and teach children specific skills for concentration and self-regulation. Monday at 1.00, Kindy Engine Speed Group. Fridays at 1.00pm Preprimary and Year 1 Engine Speed Group. Both groups at Cockburn Central. 

Zones of Regulation Groups: designed to assist children to develop emotional awareness and self regulation. Specifically for children 7 years and older. Teach children to identify their feelings, identify their level of alertness, how to manage their own feelings and how their behaviour impacts on those around them 
 
Social Eyes and Highway Heroes - Social Skills programme led by our Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist. Group to be held on Wednesdays at 2.30pm at Cockburn Central clinic.
 
Mealtime Munchers: for children who are fussy eaters ages 3 to 6yrs, group times to be advised

Superstars Group: for 2-4 year olds. Led by our Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist, promoting fine motor, gross motor, language, social and play skills. Mondays 9.30 to 11.30am Canning Vale and Tuesdays 9.00 to 11.00am at Cockburn Central.  

Development Squad:  for development of balance, strength and coordination skills in children aged 5-12 years. These groups are run on Saturday mornings at 9.30am at our Cockburn Central clinic.
 
Bike Riding Group: for children who need some help to master this skill. Group times to be advised.

Children who experience a delay in onset of talking often have difficult to detect middle ear problems, causing hearing loss. They frequently go on to have literacy problems if the underlying language difficulties are not remedied.

    If you have a child who has trouble speaking at a developmental level that is right for their age, we can help them develop speech that is clear and understandable.
