Learning to categorise and sort information needs to start early. These activities are chosen to help children establish early learning concepts for counting, colours, shapes, etc. The sequence for learning is first to match, then to identify and finally to label. For example - first a child learns to match all the red blocks, then we move on to a game involving the child finding a 'red block' on request, and when the child is successful at this level you would move on to a game where the child can tell you what colour the block is.
Have fun! Children learn most effectively when the process is fun!
